My name is Sean Stull. I am a pastel artist. I believe that pastels hold the potential for a subtle exploration of nature's power, which has never been fully realized. In that I push the medium to reach that potential, I consider myself a truly modern artist. Yet my work is also representational and elemental. To me, the word "elemental" describes both nature in its most natural mood, as well as forms found in nature, best portrayed in a landscape composition. The driving force of my work comes from my firm and deeply rooted belief that nature is vibrant, alive, and profound.
